Crafting The Perfect Cold Brew: A Step-By-Step Guide

Perky Cold Brew

Creating a delectable cold brew has never been easier. Follow these simple steps to unlock the full potential of your Cold Brew Coffee:

  1. Grind: Start by coarsely grinding your Perky Blenders coffee beans (a bit more coarse than a French Press grind). Aim for a consistency similar to coarse sand.
If you don't have a grinder - don't sweat. Simply choose the cold brew grind when ordering your coffee.

  2. Measure: For a 1-liter batch, use approximately 120 grams of ground coffee. This will give you the best flavours - anything less and you may feel like your cold brew is a bit watery!

  3. Combine: Place the coffee grounds in a large jar or a specialised cold brew coffee maker.

  4. Water Time: Gently pour cold, filtered water over the grounds until they are fully submerged.

  5. Stir: Give the mixture a gentle stir to ensure all the grounds are evenly saturated with the water.

  6. Steep: Cover the container and let the coffee steep in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours. This slow extraction process allows the flavours to fully develop.

  7. Filter: After the steeping period, carefully strain the cold brew using a fine-mesh sieve or a coffee filter.

  8. Serve: Pour the smooth, aromatic cold brew into a glass filled with ice. Feel free to add your favourite milk, sweetener, or simply enjoy it black.
