Coffee Of The Month - Lemon Drizzle

WHAT'S BREWING THIS MONTH?

This October, we’re welcoming autumn with Lemon Drizzle, a beautifully bright washed coffee from the Kii Factory in Kenya’s Kirinyaga region. Sourced through our long-standing friends at Volcafe, Kii brings together around 850 members of the Rung’eto Farmers’ Cooperative Society, who grow coffee in the rich volcanic soils at the foothills of Mount Kenya. The freshly picked cherries are carefully sorted, pulped, fermented overnight and washed using fresh water from the nearby River Kii before being dried on raised tables. One of our Head Roaster’s favourite origins, this classic Kenyan coffee is bursting with fresh lemon juice and brown sugar sweetness, followed by delicate notes of chamomile as it cools.
