Our Christmas Blend is the eagerly anticipated coffee of the year a warm, festive welcome to the season and a celebration in every cup.
And this year, it’s even more special, as we mark 10 years of Perky Blenders. A decade of roasting, blending, learning, growing, supporting producers and serving our incredible community and what better way to celebrate than with a beautifully crafted, limited-edition blend.
This year’s Christmas Blend design has been created by Andreas Avgoústi the artist behind Solstice Pine Press and quite possibly our biggest Christmas Coffee fan. Andreas has been cheerleading our festive releases for years, and as we celebrate 10 years of Perky Blenders, we couldn’t think of anyone more perfect to bring this special bag to life. His design is filled with Christmas nostalgia, warmth and wintery joy. A visual love-letter to the festive season and to freshly roasted coffee landing through your letterbox.
For 2025, we carefully selected two exceptional origins that truly shine: Colombia and Ethiopia. Both are celebrated worldwide for producing outstanding coffee, and together they create a cup that perfectly captures the flavours, feelings and joy of the festive season.
The first component comes from Finca El Diviso in Pitalito, Colombia a collaborative project between neighbours and coffee producers, led by third-generation farmers Nestor Lasso and his brother, Adrian. At just 25 years old, Nestor transformed the family business, shifting its focus to micro-lots, innovation and advanced post-harvest techniques. Part of a youth-driven movement championing sustainability and quality, their coffees are now recognised globally and even featured in competitions.
This Caturra varietal underwent a double anaerobic fermentation, first for 20 hours in whole cherry form, followed by another 16 hours in smaller batches. After depulping, washing and submersion in water and leachate from previous harvests for 18 hours, the coffee was then mechanically dried. The result is an expressive, tropical and layered profile.
To beautifully complement the Colombian lot, we selected a naturally processed coffee from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, sourced from the Halo Beriti community washing station in Gedeb. Grown at altitudes of 1,800–2,200 metres above sea level, the fertile volcanic soil, high elevation and ideal rainfall create the perfect conditions for cultivating exceptional Arabica coffee.
This lot was sourced through Ephtah Specialty Coffee, a female-led Ethiopian exporter founded by Wubit Bekele, a Q-graded cupper focused on ethical practices, exceptional quality and empowering women within the coffee industry.
The cherries are hand-picked and processed using the natural (dry) method, with whole cherries sun-dried on raised beds, allowing the beans to absorb the fruit’s natural sugars and complexity.
A festive, joyful cup bursting with:
Juicy forest red berries
Raspberry & strawberry sweetness
Floral lychee
A smooth, creamy nougat finish
Think: Christmas in a cup, bright, sweet, nostalgic and joyfully indulgent.
