Single Origin

It’s no secret, we love to carefully blend coffees - the name is a bit of a giveaway... But even we have to admit, many specialty grade coffees are just so tasty they deserve to shine on their own.

And our current Single Origin is not one to be missed. We have a stunning "microlot" from our Brazilian producing partner, Fazenda Samambia that is lightly roasted to bring out Melon, Honey, & Milk Chocolate flavours.

The Yellow Bourbon cultivar used in this coffee was fermented in an oxygen free environment for 60 hours prior to drying, keeping the best attributes of the varietal and enhancing its complexity, thanks to the careful control of the process.

The cool, green hills of Sul de Minas provide the perfect conditions for coffee growing, producing some of Brazil’s finest beans. The region is known locally as “Vertentes” because it forms a border between two very important basins in Brazil: The Grande River and the Sao Francisco River basins.

The coffees produced at
Fazenda Samambaia have been the anchors of our Forest Blend for the past two years and we are delighted to be able to feature some of their most exclusive and experimental mircolots in our Single Origin category as well!
