Our most warming, comforting coffee of the season is here.

Formerly known as Winter Bloom – and loved so much as our November Coffee of the Month – this blend was simply too good to say goodbye to. If it looks familiar, that’s because it is… and it’s now staying with us for the rest of winter.

Created to delight every type of coffee drinker, Winter Blend works beautifully for both filter and espresso, whether you prefer a classic black brew or a comforting milky cup. It’s the perfect companion for crisp mornings, cosy afternoons and long winter evenings.

Expect a sweet, layered cup with notes of milk chocolate, cocoa, cranberry, red apple and cherry, finished with lingering hints of rosehip and cardamom.

The beautiful bag artwork has been designed by artist Karen Brotherton, whose final piece reflects the warmth, texture and seasonal charm that this blend embodies.


MORE ABOUT THE COFFEE

Winter Blend brings together two exceptional origins from Central and South America: Colombia and Guatemala. We’ve carefully selected small-scale producers whose dedication to quality and sustainable farming brings incredible flavour to every cup.

The Colombian component was sourced with the help of our importing partner, Caravela, from a lot produced in La Plata, Huila.

La Estrella del Ostro – meaning “Star of the Southern Wind” – takes its name from the bright star that shines above the mountain range where this coffee is grown, pointing the way to the summit of La Plata on clear nights.

Agriculture is at the heart of this diverse, biodynamic region. From coffee and cacao to plantain and rice, the land is nourished by the Aguacatal, La Plata and Paez rivers, which flow along the western slopes of Colombia’s central mountain range.

This lot combines Castillo, Caturra and Colombia varieties, all sun-dried on parabolic covered patios and raised beds. The result is a fruity, complex cup layered with notes of caramel, cocoa, red apple, orange, kiwi and cranberry.

To complement this vibrant profile, we selected a lot from Guatemala, sourced through our partners at Primavera Coffee. Their mission centres on strengthening communities, improving farmer livelihoods and ensuring full traceability.

The Primavera Family Lot brings together the harvests of 10–15 small producers in Huehuetenango. By combining smaller lots that could not otherwise stand alone, this model ensures better pricing and enables farmers to reinvest in their farms and wet mills.

This coffee includes Bourbon, Caturra, Catuaí, Pache, Typica and Catimor varieties and is traditionally washed, producing a clean, sweet, beautifully balanced cup.

Expect notes of red apple and cranberry, a soft milk chocolate mouthfeel, and a nougat finish with a distinctive rosehip aftertaste.
